Grade A, Radial Casings
Virgin casing that has not been retreaded previously
No cuts or breaks
No repairs or impact breaks
No exposed steel
No existing repairs
Sidewalls are in good condition
No weather cracking
No distortion of tubeless bead surfaces
Not regrooved
Grade B, Radial Casings
Same as Grade A with exceptions of:
Minor cuts and chips (but no exposed steel in the tread area to avoid rust developing)
Maximum of two nail holes in tread area only. Must be 1 1/2 inches in from the tread edge with maximum diameter of 3/8 inch
Grade R-1, Radial Casings
Previously retreaded once in full or top tread or bead to bead
Maximum two nail holes in tread area only. Must be 1 1/2 inches in from tread
All other conditions are same as Grade A
Nylon (Bias) Casings
For Nylon casings, no more than two (2) nail holes in tread area for "A" casings.
Maximum of four (4) nail holes in tread area but not grouped together for "B" casings.
All other conditions are save as Radial casings requirements.
